Explore, experiment, and boldly express yourself in this in-depth color theory course with graphic designer Sean Adams.
"There’s no such thing as too bright," is a mantra Sean Adams has embraced since 1992. He believes that understanding color rules is important, but knowing when to break them is essential. In the early nineties, he founded AdamMorioka, a design studio during a time when design was dominated by dark tones and heavy layering. His unique approach, rooted in purity, simplicity, emotional resonance, and bold colors, gained him wide recognition. Adams has collaborated with major brands such as Nickelodeon, Disney XD, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Sundance Film Festival, Gap, Old Navy, UCLA, and more. He is also the Chair of Undergraduate and Graduate Graphic Design at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California.
In this course, deepen your understanding of color and learn how to use it to amplify your message and captivate your audience. Explore the various properties of color, its cultural and historical meanings, and how to build a harmonious palette. Sean will guide you through the entire process of designing a poster, from concept to completion.
