Senior Web Designer

As a Senior Web Designer, you will report to the Head of Creative and Strategy, specialising in marketing website design with occasional product design projects. You're a user-centered design expert who creates digital experiences that effectively communicate brand stories while delivering exceptional usability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conceptualizing creative ideas with clients and facilitating web workshops to align on project vision and requirements
2. Leading UX/UI design for marketing websites from user research through final implementation
3. Creating lo-fi wireframes and high-fidelity designs in Figma, developing comprehensive design systems using brand guidelines
4. Testing and improving website designs through user research, usability testing, and iterative design processes
5. Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices while maintaining website appearance by enforcing content standards
6. Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring alignment with client branding across all digital touchpoints
7. Effectively communicating design concepts to developers, clients, and key stakeholders through presentations and documentation
8. Addressing product, marketing, and business needs while translating brand identities into compelling digital experiences
9. Conducting industry research and staying current with best practices, competitor UI designs, web design trends, accessibility standards, and emerging technologies
10. Communicating with clients, attending client meetings, and presenting design concepts and user experience rationale
11. Collaborating with developers to design new and intuitive user experiences, ensuring seamless implementation of design specifications
12. Occasionally contributing to product design projects, applying UX/UI expertise to digital products
13. Working closely with brand designers to maintain consistency across all client touchpoints

The Qualifications

1. 4-5 years of design industry experience
2. Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a similar field and a strong portfolio of digital projects
3. Fluent across the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
4. Understanding of design systems and how to create them
5. Understanding of Figma and how to use it
6. Great communication skills: whether it’s talking through your work with the team or speaking with clients, you’ll need to be able to get your point across and empathize with those of others
7. Experience creating products with complex user flows and high-quality UI design is a plus
8. Experience running stakeholder workshops with clients
9. Ability to work at least 3-4 business hours in Pacific Standard Time
10. Self-motivation in a remote professional environment and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
11. Sharp attention to detail within a fast-paced work environment
