Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic design team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about crafting user-centred designs, possess a strong understanding of design principles, and be eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with senior designers, product managers, and developers to create engaging, user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- UI Design: Assist in creating visually appealing and functional user interfaces, including designing layouts, components, buttons, and icons for websites and mobile apps.
- Wireframing & Prototyping: Support in developing low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and mockups using tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar platforms.
- User Research & Analysis: Conduct basic user research, such as interviews and surveys, and assist in gathering user feedback to understand user needs and pain points.
- Usability Testing: Participate in usability testing sessions, analyze results, and help make data-driven design decisions to improve the user experience.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including senior designers, developers, product managers, and marketing teams, to ensure design solutions align with business goals.
- Design Systems & Style Guides: Assist in maintaining and contributing to design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across digital products.
- Iterative Design Process: Revise and iterate on designs based on feedback from team members, stakeholders, and users.
- Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest design trends, UI/UX practices, and tools to continually improve design skills and knowledge.
- Experience in designing for both web and mobile platforms.
- Familiarity with agile and collaborative design processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: A degree or diploma in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a portfolio showcasing work across digital products (websites, apps, etc.).
Skills:
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar.
- Familiarity with design principles such as typography, color theory, and layout.
- Understanding of user-centered design methodologies and basic user research techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-Have:
- Basic knowledge of motion design and animation.
- Ability to incorporate accessibility (WCAG) considerations into designs.
