This website is a visualization intended to help people better understand the role and scope of npm. npm is the default package manager for Node.js and was initially created to help developers manage files, metadata and dependencies for their JavaScript applications. npm features a package registry and enables developers to consume and distribute open source code. The website take the user on a step-by-step interactive journey mapping the 399,588,376 downloads per week. This is the first in the series of NodeSource visualizations and shows just how massive this registry is.
