A CENTURY ON FILM

This is a special website assembled a huge number of video clips that NHK（Japan Broadcasting Corp.） has collected from archives all over the world and have got rights to broadcast on the web. Getting into a lens the website shows at the beginning, promote immersion into this unique world. At main content, “Encounter images”, we designed the user experience flow that enable users to see cross sectional information passively with the historical video clips move and get close from the far. Then make users active to choose or search clips they are interested in from those clips. Also, with the aspect of education, watching video of "the history they only could know from written words" makes them to realize the relation between history and them more clearly than before.
