When The Garage | Team Mazda reached out to our Knights to create a campaign site for the launch of their new groundbreaking technology that will appear in Mazda products starting 2012, we gladly accepted the invitation. To promote the new SKYACTIV next generation technology, our Knights designed and built an HTML 5 site with parallax scrolling to enhance the new automotive features – including engines, transmissions, vehicle bodies and chassis. This pseudo- 3D technique allowed our team to reveal important SKYACTIV parts in the foreground while the background layer provided the core brand identity and atmosphere of the Mazda brand. In order to educate the user about the different SKYACTIV features we storyboarded, designed, illustrated and animated four different motion graphics segments that communicate the information in an easy-to-digest way.
